Polystyrene Rendering

Polystyrene rendering is a rendering technique that uses a mix of polymer render. This mix is at base a cement based render mix that has silicone water repellents added in its composition. This new addition in the mix, allows polystyrene render a double advantage. It makes it highly resistant to water penetration which makes is a great insulator, all the while making it easy for internal moist to penetrate the render, allowing the wall to breathe. Polystyrene rendering does not need a base coat as the polymer render is available as monocouche render, which also makes it a strong base for the finish coats and is extremely suitable for lightweight thermalite blocks or breeze blocks. Other surfaces that are suitable for polystyrene rendering mostly include modern brick, steel framed buildings, insulation boards or polystyrene insulation sheets. The image of the building using this render will also not be overlooked as the polymer renders can cover a large range of colours and can be finished in a wide variety of textures. Also they offer a superior finish as the polymer render is pre-blended, which allows the quality of the render to have the same consistency throughout the entire project.

Extended Polystyrene (EPS)

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) or Styrofoam, is a polymer render that has a foaming agent included in its mix that gives it excellent insulating properties, highly resistant to heat flow and external moisture penetration. Its properties, makes expanded polystyrene an excellent material to use for wall insulation, and is also highly cost-effective. Expanded polystyrene boards are light weight, really easy to handle and install, unsusceptible to flood or rot and durable, which allows the render to remain effective for the entire life of the building. Expanded polystyrene is also highly environmental friendly and makes is an extremely popular option for polystyrene rendering.

Polystyrene Rendering Services

Swift Cement Rendering provides great polystyrene rendering services that will not only improve the look of your building but can save you important expanses on energy, due to the excellent insulation properties of its render. We also know that different projects require different types of mixes and applying the wrong render might cause additional problems for the rendered building which then will require in some cases great expanses to fix. Our professional renderers will know what render would best suit different types of projects and will also be able to give your house the look you desire.
